REBECCA (BECKY) D. MARTINEZ LOVATO, 75, a resident originally from Cebolla and presently from La Mesilla born March 30, 1940, passed away suddenly on Saturday, October 10, 2015 as a result of a stroke. Becky was the owner/manager of Becky’s Styling Salon. She was preceded in death by her son, Tony Martinez; father of her children, Julian Martinez; parents, Maclovio and Nestora Gurule; brother, Arturo Gurule. Becky is survived by her daughter, Diana and husband Larry Jaramillo; daughter-in-law, Lavina; grandchildren, Larry Jaramillo, Jr and fiancée Grace, Sarah Jaramillo and companion Jake, Danielle Jaramillo and companion Robert, Felicia and husband Aaron Medina, great-grandchildren, Lukas Montoya, Kaylee, Hezekiah and Kimora Medina; brothers, Mack Jr, Flavio and wife Myrna, Carlos and wife Sofie, Alvino and wife Jeanette and Candido Gurule, sisters, Sister Erlinda Gurule, Bertha Rivera and husband Joe, Minnie Martinez and husband Orlando, Loyola and companion Dennis, Prescilla Salazar and husband Alex (Weddo), Esther Gurule and Mary Gurule and companion Antonio and numerous nephews, nieces, and other close relatives and friends. Public visitation will begin on Friday, October 16, 2015 at 5:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory, with a rosary to be recited at 6:00 p.m. followed by a wake service at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday, October 17, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Santo Nino Catholic Church in Cebolla, with a burial to follow at the Santo Nino Catholic Cemetery. Serving the family as pallbearers, Larry Jaramillo, Jr., Aaron Medina, Mack Ryan Gurule, Arthur Romero, Mario Salazar, Roberto Baca, Marvin Romero Jr. and Michael Rivera, honorary pallbearers will be all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
