Raymond Orlando Age - 57 - Youngsville Salazar

RAYMOND ORLANDO SALAZAR, 57, died Saturday, March 17, 2012 with his family by his side in Youngsville. Raymond was born and raised in El Llano. His charisma and willingness to help others defined who he was. He had a strong devotion to serving the Lord and was a faithful member of Templo Getsemani Church in Coyote. He was preceded in death by his father, Ralph Salazar; his sister, Vivian Salazar and his nephews, Herman and Melvin Trujillo. Mr. Salazar is survived by his wife, Stella Velasquez Salazar of Youngsville; his mother, Beatrice Salazar of El Llano; his sons, Orlando Salazar, Bobby Salazar and Derek Velasquez; his daughters, Barbara Salazar, Janice Martinez and Brianne Martinez; four grandsons, four granddaughters and two great-granddaughters; brothers, Ralph Salazar Jr. and wife Annette of El Llano, Eli Salazar and wife Cindy of Nambe and Levi Salazar and wife Geraldine of El Rancho; sisters, Renee Armijo and husband Marcos of Liden, Berlinda George and husband Glen of Colorado Springs and Clarabelle Trujillo of El Llano; father and mother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Uvaldo and Cecilia Velasquez of Youngsville; sisters-in-law, Patsy Serrano and husband Paul of Youngsville and Velma Lovato and husband Randy of Española; brothers-in-law, Eli Velasquez and wife Vangie of Aztec and Eloy Velasquez of Youngsville and many other relatives and friends. Public visitation will begin on Wednesday, March 21, 2012 at 6:00 p.m. at Victory Faith Church in Española with a devotional service to follow at 7:00 p.m. Funeral service to be held on Thursday, March 22, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. also at Victory Faith Church in Española. Burial to follow at the Loma Vista Cemetery in Alcalde with the following serving as pallbearers, Derek Velasquez, Orlando Salazar, Matthew Salazar, Gabriel Salazar, Richard, Joseph and Julian Padilla. Honorary pallbearers named are, Timmy Vigil and Dominic Manzanares. In lieu of flowers, the family request monetary donations may be made to the funeral home.
