Raymond Gabriel Calvert – Age 40 a resident of Ohkay Owingeh passed away on Tuesday, March 1, 2011. He was a life member of the Catholic Church, a local artist, a Dallas Cowboys fan and enjoyed his music. Raymond will always be remembered for his laugh. He was preceded in death by his father, Marcelino Calvert; brother, Peter Calvert; maternal grandparents, Steven and Rosanita Trujillo; paternal grandparents, Rex and Emelia Calvert; aunt, Stella T. Vigil; aunt, Cecelia Martinez; uncles, Delfin and Felix Calvert; cousin, Stanely W. Vigil. Raymond is survived by his mother, Gertrude Calvert of Ohkay Owingeh; brothers & sisters: Rosanne Cata and husband Lindsay, James Calvert, Steven Calvert and wife Roxanne; sister-in-law, Laura Calvert; godson, Lawrence Romero; nephews: Marcelino Calvert and wife Yvonne, Darren Calvert and fiancé Devonna Naranjo, Ramon Calvert, Peter Cata; nieces: Blue Flower Cordero, Kateri Calvert; best friend, Nevin Duran; many aunts, uncles and cousins. Rosary will be recited on Wednesday, March 2, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. at the family home. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday, March 3, 2011 at 9:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Ohkay Owingeh with burial to follow at Ohkay Owingeh Catholic Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers, Gene Garcia, Nevin Duran, Kevin Abeyta, Jesse Pacheco, B.J. Bird, Martin Cata, Anthony Garcia and Jonathan Cruz. Honorary pallbearers named are, Marcelino, Darren and Ramon Calvert, Peter Cata and Lawrence Romero.
