Raymond - Age 56 - Chamita - Gallegos, Jr.

RAYMOND P. GALLEGOS, JR, 56, a lifelong resident of Chamita, passed away on Thursday, December 13, 2012 following a lengthy illness. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Enrique and Epifania Gallegos; maternal grandparents, Venceslao and Manuelita Sanchez and nephew, Steven Duran. Raymond was in Law Enforcement for many years, having been a city police officer, Rio Arriba Sheriff Deputy and currently probation officer for the Pueblo of Ohkay Owingeh. Mr. Gallegos is survived by his wife, Loren Gallegos of Chamita; children, RayLynn Gallegos-Aguino and husband Dominic, Deseray Gallegos all of El Guique and Raydaniel Gallegos; step-daughters, Sandy and Dively Martinez; parents, Raymond and Lourdes Gallegos all of Chamita; sisters, Mary Ann Duran and husband Ray, Jeanette Alexander and husband Scott; grandchildren, Hannah and Dominic Ray Aguino of El Guique and Kaylee Martinez of Chimayo; father and mother-in-law, Antonio and Guadalupe Arana of Mexico; brother-in-law, Manuel Valenzuela and wife Laura of Albuquerque; sister-in-law, Antonia Arana and husband Paco Jaime of Mexico; uncles, Henry Gallegos, Jr., Billy Gallegos and wife Lorraine all of Chamita; aunt, Joann Gallegos; God-parents, Eddie and Placida Trujillo of Española; nieces, Monica Duran and Jasmine and Jada Alexander and nephew, Scott Alexander, Jr. and numerous other relatives and friends. A rosary will be recited on Sunday, December 16, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. at the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Ohkay Owingeh. Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated on Monday, December 17, 2012 at 12:00 p.m. also at the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Ohkay Owingeh. Burial will follow at the San Pedro Catholic Cemetery in Chamita with the following serving as pallbearers: Henry Gallegos, Jr., Barley Martinez, Archie Maestas, Bobby Wright, Phil Rivera and Paco Jaime. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be: Judge Jeffrey Tagar, Michael Gallegos, Billy Gallegos, Jr., Judith Duran, LaVerne Gallegos-Graves, Tammy Burke, Henry Gallegos, III, Eddie Maestas, Nick Lovato, Manuel Valdez and Steve Griego.
