RAYETTA M. TAFOYA, 43, a resident of Farmington, originally from Lumberton, passed away on Saturday, June 30, 2018. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Claudio and Olivia C. Tafoya and maternal grandparents, Rumaldo and Delia Lujan; great grandmother and godmother Dolores Martinez. Mrs. Tafoya is survived by her husband, Santiago Martinez; children, Joseph Tafoya and girlfriend Theresa L., Anjelica Hernandez and boyfriend Francisco M., Santana Martinez and boyfriend Emery N., Santiago, Monique and Alexis Martinez; granddaughter, Natalia Mendoza; parents, Ray Tafoya and Pauline Tafoya; sisters, LeAndra Tafoya, Paula Lopez and husband Christopher L., and Alexandra Tafoya and boyfriend Leonard G.; in-laws, Virginio and Crisanta Martinez; brother-in-law, Jesus Martinez and wife Marquita; sister-in-law, Lisa Martinez and husband Albert and Bernadette Martinez and Paul Gonzales; godfather Richard Martinez and other loving nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Public visitation will begin on Friday, July 6, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at the St. Francis Church in Lumberton with a rosary to be recited at 3:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated on Saturday, July 7, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. also at the St. Francis Church in Lumberton. Burial to follow at Las Nutrias Cemetery in Lumberton with the following serving as pallbearers, Paula Lopez, LeAndra Tafoya, Alexandra Tafoya, Patricia Lujan, Melissa Lujan. Honorary pallbearers named are, Santiago Martinez and Joseph Tafoya. The family of Rayetta M. Tafoya has entrusted their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
