Ramon A. Martinez, 77, a resident of Chamita passed away from a lengthy illness on Monday, October 22, 2012. He was preceded in death by his parents, Antonio and Epemenia; daughter, Rosemary Martinez; brothers: Armando, Aniceto and Eppie; in-laws, Pablo and Petra Salazar; sister-in-law, Rita Salazar. Ramon is survived by his wife, Mary S. Martinez; daughter, Cathy Naranjo and husband Ray; son, Joe R. Martinez and wife Olga; grandsons: Gabriel Naranjo and wife Lori, Jonathan Naranjo and Jerome Naranjo and wife Sherrie; granddaughters: Melanie Delgado and husband Aaron, Rosemary Montoya and husband Mel, Carla Martinez and Felix Ortiz; great-grandchildren: Jevon and Jenee Montoya, Diego and Ariana Delgado, Chantel and Josiah Ortiz, Mariah Naranjo and Justin Garcia-Vigil, Chanel Naranjo, JJ, Auzria and Aubrey; brothers: Arsenio Martinez and wife Cynthia, Juan Martinez and wife Laura, Jose Barley Martinez and wife Yvonne and Jose Montoya; sisters: Irene Garcia and husband Leroy, Ercelia Martinez and husband Dennis, Cordy Garcia and husband Paul; brothers-in-law: Paul Salazar and wife Venita, Robert Salazar and wife Margaret; numerous nieces, cousin and other loving relatives & friends. Public visitation will be held on Thursday, October 25, 2012 at 6:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory with a rosary to follow at 7:00 p.m. Memorial mass will be celebrated on Friday, October 26, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Ohkay Owingeh with burial to follow at San Pedro Cemetery in Chamita.
