Ramona Miller, 77, was called home by her Lord Jesus following a lengthy illness on Thursday April 21, 2016 in Dixon, NM, with her family present. She lived her life to the fullest and enjoyed every moment with her loved ones. She was preceded in death by her mother, Amelia, her father, Augustin Rivera; and her brother Frank Romero.
She is survived by her children, Steven Miller (Lucy) of Bloomfield NM, Craig Miller (Geri Salazar) of Placitas NM, Christina Piper (John) of La Palma, CA.; grandchildren Jared Miller (Lis) of Durango CO, Andrea Pena (Stephen) of Chandler AZ, Craig Miller (Ciji) of Ridgeway, CO, Michael Miller (Randi) of Albuquerque NM, Amanda Ellis Of Albuquerque, NM, Brianna Piper (Cody ), Somer Piper , and Johnny Piper all of La Palma, CA. Three Great Grand Children Kalee & Karah Miller and Lilliana Martinez; her brothers, Tony Romero (Jeanetta) of Albuquerque, NM, Rudy Romero (Sue) of Clearfield, UT.; sisters, Tina Corcoran of Velarde, NM and Carmen Martinez (Andy Torres), Taos/Canoncito Many nieces, nephews & cousins.
Mom will be remembered by her beautiful laughter and love, she expressed for friends and family. Most of all of her children and grandchildren. She loved her roots, her dirt in New Mexico. As she would call it her “brown.” She was an avid reader especially in NM history and culture. We will miss our mother dearly, but we know she is at peace in Heaven. Special thanks to Amber Care Staff for their loving care, Rev. Kay Peters Johnson, Officiating Rosary, Carmen Martinez and a special Thank You to Dr. Jim Martin. A service for Ramona will be held on Friday April 29, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Embudo Presbyterian Church, County Road 549 #9, Dixon, NM. Family luncheon will be held at Mission Embudo following the funeral service. Her final resting place will be at Rosario Cemetery following the luncheon at 499 N Guadalupe, Santa Fe NM Honorary pallbearers are her grandchildren, Craig Miller, Michael Miller, Jared Miller, Amanda Ellis, Andrea Pena, Brianna Piper, Somer Piper and Johnny Piper.
