\r\nRamona Vigil, 82, a resident of Rio Lucio and the past four years of Albuquerque, passed into the loving arms of her Savior on Saturday, January 25, 2014. Mom was born April 10, 1931 in Llano de San Juan in Northern NM to Donaciano and Piedad Vasquez whom she will see again. Her three loving children survive her, Mickey McHugh and husband Mike of Albuquerque, Orlando Vigil and wife Priscilla of Albuquerque, and Gloria Vigil and companion Bob Wilkinson of Avon, CO. The apples of her eye; granddaughters, Melissa Vigil and companion Felix Archibeque, Amanda Medina, Deirdre Gonzalez and husband Gary, also the ones who stole her heart; great-granddaughters, Natalie, Gabrielle, and Vanessa Archibique, and Kataleia Gonzalez all of Albuquerque; half-brother, Adelmo Vigil and wife Orcelia; sister-in-law, Mary Vasquez of Albuquerque; brother-in-law, Salomon Griego of Dixon and many nieces and nephews who loved her like a mother. Those that have gone before her, brother, Benigno Vasquez; sisters, Lorenza Griego and Rosa Sandoval; brother-in-law, Ernesto Sandoval and uncles, Lorenzo, Benjamin, and Felix Romero. Public visitation will begin on Saturday, February 1, 2014 at 9:30 a.m. at the Emmanuel Presbyterian Church in Peñasco with a funeral service to follow at 10:00 a.m. with Reverends Steve Daniels and Daniel Castillo officiating. Burial will follow at 3:00 p.m. at Vista Verde Cemetery, 4310 Sarah Rd, Rio Rancho, with Reverend Jaime Quiñones officiating. Serving the family as pallbearers are Orlando Vigil, Mike McHugh, Eufelio Vasquez, Dan Sandoval, Benigno Vasquez, and Jerry Griego. The family of Ramona Vigil has entrusted their loved one to the DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.\r\n
