Ramon R. Granados, age 55, was born March 13, 1968, in Chihuahua, Mexico. Ramon was a lifelong resident of Cordova, NM. Ramon passed away peacefully on June 16, 2023, fighting a battle of stage 4 cancer.
He is preceded in death by his father-in-law Jose Rubel Martinez; brothers-in-law Tommy, Ronnie Martinez and Lawrence Austin; nieces Heather and Samantha Martinez; nephews Ryan Caleb Medina and Jaystin and baby Joseph Martinez; grandparents Guadalupe and Carmen Granados; brothers Manuel and Cesar Granados; uncles Aflredo and Guadalupe (Jr) Granados; aunts Christina and Gloria Granados.
He is survived by his loving wife Linda Martinez Granados of 20 years; children Rigoberto and Kevin Granados, Benito DJ Trujillo, Francine Martinez, his precious daughter whom he loved very much Franklynn, and Felix Barela; 2 grandsons he raised and loved very much and meant the world to him are Dominick and baby Danny Trujillo; grandchildren whom he loved with all his heart Danielle, Destinee, Dominick, Dannie Lynn, baby Danny Trujillo, Felicity and Faith Lynn Barela; godchildren Anjelito Rubio, Lynette Torres Eng, Yasu Ayala, Eppie and Crystal Archuleta; God parents of baptismal Guadalupe and Esther Granados; God parents of marriage Bob and Corrine Mansfield; mother-in-law Angie Chavez (Francisco Villegas); sister-in-law Corrine Mansfield (Bob), Mary Lou and Carol Martinez; brother-in-law Joseph Pat Martinez, Denise Martinez; nieces and nephews Delfinia Medina, Kayla and Norman Camp, Crystal and Eppie Archuleta, Alfred Maestas, Joseph and Dyna Martinez, Leanna Martinez, Darren and Angelina Martinez, Steven and Felisha Martinez, Angel and Aaron Marinez, Mathew and Danika Martinez, Tommy Romero Jr, Hillary Bustos Mansfield and Justin and Heaven Lopez; parents Ramon and Letty Granados; sisters Norma Granados (Ramon Itterdella) and Patty Granados (Delfino Villa Gomez); a uncle and aunt who he loved very dearly Beto (Mary) Granados, Pepe (Maria) Granados; Elizar (Angelica) Granados; Virginia Granados; cousins Ashley (Omhar Ayala, and Nicholas Granados; nieces Yhamilexis Holguin Granados, Yhaxubellie Itterudella, Daphnie and Roxanna Granados, Lynette and Hamilton Eng.; nephew Sergio Villagomez.
Ramon worked as a carpenter for Schmitt Custom Builder over 30 years. He left all his carpenter memories at home and where he worked. He was a certified security guard where he worked with his wife with Texas Enforcer, LLC In El Paso company. He was also a mayordomo with his wife at the Cordova San Antonio Church for 8 years. He was always a very hard worker, honest and reliable man. He was always working. His hobbies were being a biker. He loved riding his bikes with his wife Linda, mother-in-law Angie, father-in-law Francisco, brother-in-law Lorenzo, sister-in-law Mary Lou and best friend Doro Herrera. He also enjoyed going for wood with his family and making sure his family was always taken care of. He was a family man always going camping and enjoying his life. He was a loving husband, stepfather and grandfather to his 7 beautiful grandchildren whom he loved very much. His family always came first. Ramon will be dearly missed.
There will a Public Viewing on Thursday, June 29, 2023, at 6:00 pm, with a Rosary to follow at 7:00 pm at DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory in Espanola, NM. A Burial Mass will take place on Friday, June 30, 2023, at 2:00 pm at the Holy Family Parish in Chimayo, NM. Burial will take place at San Antonio Cemetery in Cordova, NM.
Pallbearers Benny Romero, Joseph Pat Martinez, Bob Mansfield, Francisco Villegas, Andrew Martinez, Darren Martinez, Benito DJ Trujillo, Felix Barela and Marylou Martinez.
