Rafelita Rosina Montoya

Rafelita (Rafie) Montoya, 75, passed away peacefully at home on November 22, 2024. Born on October 26, 1949, in Embudo, NM.

She was preceded in death by her parents Jose and Maria Montoya; brother Jose Alfonso Montoya; and her beloved cat Twinkie. 

Rafelita survived by her daughter Lorrie Griego of Ojo Sarco; grandchildren Mapiya (Maria) Rakestraw, Wanonce Rakestraw, Alfonso Montoya, all of Ojo Sarco; sisters Oralia Salazar of Ojo Sarco, Alice Martinez of Espanola; and many nieces and nephews. She leaves behind her precious cat Sasha.

Rafelita loved listening to Elvis Presley, watching The Wheel of Fortune, going to the casinos, and taking care of her cat. She loved working as a nurse and enjoyed working at Presbyterian Hospital in Espanola before her retirement.
