Rachel Carballo

RACHEL ELAINE CARBALLO, 66, a resident of Española, passed away on Sunday, November 29, 2015. She was preceded in death by her husband, Isidro Carballo; parents, Julian and Eulamae; grandson, Nathan Reddest; brother, Edward Vigil; and sister, Marylou Martinez. She enjoyed painting, coloring, crafts and family card games. Mrs. Carballo is survived by her children, David and Kathy Vigil of Denver, Michael and Renee Gallegos of Española, Rudy Gallegos and Gina of Velarde and Richard  and Trudy Gallegos of Velarde; comadre, Bertha Galvan; grandchildren, David, Jr., Rachel, Dale, Christina, Michelle, Steven, Ashley, Rudy, Jr., Jason, April, Eulamae, Mariah, Kymberly and Berna; great-grandchildren, Trina, Sissy, Rhinny, Dametri, Kaylana, Lilly, Jackie and Isaac; siblings, Julian and Jackie Vigil and Rita Rodriguez and numerous other relatives and friends. Public visitation will begin Thursday, December 3, 2015 at 6:30 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm. Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated on Friday, December 4, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at the St. John the Baptist Church in Ohkay Owingeh with the following serving the family as pallbearers, Dave, Dale, Robert, Smokie, Shane, and Francisco. Burial to follow at a later date. The family of Rachel Elaine Carballo has entrusted their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
