Priscilla V. Sanchez “Grandma Chiquita”, age 73 a resident of Espanola, passed away on Saturday, October 30, 2010 peacefully surrounded by her loving family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Filemon Sanchez; sons, Arthur, Frankie and Steven Sanchez; father and mother, Arsenio and Elena Vigil; brother, Juan B. Vigil; in-laws, Jose Maria and Josie Sanchez. Priscilla was a loving mother and grandmother. She was always full of life and very generous. She will be missed by all who knew her. Pricilla is survived by her daughter, Peggy Sue Martinez and husband Bond of Espanola; grandchildren, Miriah A. Martinez and Estevan Garcia both of Espanola; great-grandchildren, Jayden, Jayla, Francisco, Nevaeh and Michaela Garcia; step-grandchildren, Analisa Struck and Catrina Lopez; brothers and sisters, Virginia Mares of Espanola, Donelia Romero of South Gate, CA., Dolly Lucero and Jake of Espanola and Ruben Vigil and Linda of Espanola; sisters-in-law, Mabel Hollensworth and Lorraine Romero and husband Jim; special friends, Lupita Rodriguez and Ernestine Spruce. Cremation has taken place. Public visitation will begin on Tuesday, November 2, 2010 at 6:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory with a rosary to be recited at 6:30 p.m. Memorial mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 3, 2010 at 9:00 a.m. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Española. The family of Priscilla V. Sanchez “Grandma Chiquita” has entrusted the care of their loved one to the DeVargas Funeral Home and Crematory of the Espanola Valley.
