Polly Montoya, 90, a resident of Española passed away on August 15, 2010 after suffering a lengthy illness. She worked at Los Alamos National Laboratory for 38 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank A. Montoya; parents: Sambran and Cesaria Lovato; sisters, Olivama Padilla, & Amadita Rodriguez; brothers: Victor, Lee, Jose Maria, Eddie Lovato and other relatives. Polly is survived by her nieces and nephews that she raised as her own children: Gloria and husband Richard Campion, Benni and husband Louie Quintana, Sam and wife Ruby Padilla, Mary and husband Jim Meyers; grandchildren: Ryan and wife Helen, Kimberly Campion, Lissa and husband Ben Lowe, Lorissa Quintana, Sam Jr. and wife Dilia, and DeeAnn Padilla; great-grandchildren: Mariah Vigil, Jolene Campion, Ireland Lowe, Justin Padilla, Joseph Padilla, Joshua Padilla and many other relatives. A public visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 18, 2010 at 6:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory with a rosary to be recited at 6:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, August 19, 2010 at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Española at 10:30 a.m. The Burial will take place at the Santa Fe National Cemetery in Santa Fe at 1:00 p.m. with the following serving as pallbearers: Richard Campion, Ryan Campion, Louie Quintana, Ben Lowe, Francisco Ortega and Jerry Lujan.
