Phyelma - Age 52 - Española - Martinez

PHYELMA D. MARTINEZ, 52, a resident of Española, passed away on Saturday, July 21, 2012 following a brief illness. She was preceded in death by her father, Raymond T. Martinez; sister, Melinda J. Martinez and sister-in-law, Jeanette Maestas-Ortiz. Phyelma was a caring and helping individual who would always give and inspire others. She helped those in need even though she struggled at time herself. Her family thought of her as intelligent and always looked up to her. She loved her children and grandchildren dearly. She was a survivor and always strived to do her best. Phyelma was also a fighter to the very end. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Ms. Martinez is survived by her fiancé, Mike Martinez of Española; son, Jacob R. Campbell and fiancée Rhonda of Alcalde; daughter, Renee Otero and companion Miguel Guillen of Alcalde; grandchildren: Aiden Trujillo of Truchas and Adan Mycha Aragon of Alcalde; father of her children, Jimmy Campbell of Alcalde; mother, Gloria M. Martinez; brothers and sisters, Aaron Martinez and wife Mary of Chili, Ronnie Martinez, Jerry Martinez and companion Sheri all of Upper San Pedro, Janet Martinez and husband Tony Archuleta of El Rito, Diane Ortiz and husband Dennis of Chimayo, Michole Paña and husband Joseph of San Pedro; close friend, Maxine Gomez and husband Tommy of Hernandez; Padrinos, Eloy and Sylvia Garcia of Chamita and numerous other relatives and friends. Cremation has taken place. Rosary will be held on Saturday, July 28, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Española with a Memorial service to follow at 11:00 a.m. The family of Phyelma D. Martinez has entrusted their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
