Philip Martinez

He is preceded in death by his brother brothers Albert Martinez Jr. and Steve Arellano, and sister Sally Martinez, uncles Vianes Martinez Jr. and Dario Martinez and Sofia Valdez.
He is survived by his father Albert Martinez Sr., mother and step-father Rita & Eusebio Arellano, companion Maribelle, children Sean and Allison, goddaughter Alexandra, siblings; Lori Howell (John), Loni (Daniel), Ana (Isaac), Verna (Sam), Mike (Sally), Cindy (Brian), Andrew (Kayla), uncles Arturo(Guadalupe), aunts, Helen, Connie (John), Patsy, Liz, Theresa, and Emily, and nephews, nieces, and his family from the City of Espanola Water Department.
Philip graduated class of 2001 from Victory Christian Academy, was a volunteer at Velarde Fire Department for multiple years. He loved playing basketball, football, softball, skiing, bowling, meeting new people, making people laugh, grilling, spending time with family, but the apple of his eye are his two children.
A public visitation will be on Saturday August 19, 2023 at 9:00 am in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home, with a Memorial Service to follow at 10:00 am. A reception will be held at the Senior Center in Espanola following the services.
Honorary Pallbearers: Sean, Allison, Alexandra and Remington (beep beep) Martinez, Loran and William MacGregor, Armando (Hack) Lucero, Darryl Petersen, Markus Griego, Kristin Compton, Ivan Valdez, Miranda and Amanda Padilla, Tim, Jose, and Chris Armijo.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking please plant a tree in his honor.
