Phil Lopez

PHIL LOPEZ, 51, a resident of Los Luceros, passed away on Tuesday, September 13, 2016 surrounded by his loving family. Phil was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Melva Lopez; grandparents, Luis and Rebecca Diaz; and nephew, Michael Herrera. Phil loved the outdoors, he loved hunting, fishing and camping. He always said he felt most at peace in the mountains. He is survived by his son, Phil Lopez, Jr.; mother of his son, Barbara Vigil; siblings, Renee Sanchez (Randy), Myra Lopez, Becky Romero, and Marty Lopez (Christine); special nephew and niece, Isaiah Lopez and Priscilla Herrera (Leon); niece, Monica Sanchez (Robert); great-nephews, Brian and Richard Maestas, great niece, Natalya Padilla and many other relatives and friends. A rosary will be recited on Saturday, October 1, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Alcalde with a memorial mass to be celebrated at 12:00 p.m. Burial will follow at the La Villita Cemetery in Alcalde. The family of Phil Lopez has entrusted the care of their loved one to the DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Espanola Valley.
