Phil - Age 72 - Rodarte Sanchez

PHIL SANCHEZ, 72, a resident of Rodarte, passed away on Monday, October 11, 2010. He was preceded in death by his parents, Apolonio and Agripanita Sanchez; sister, Elizaida Sanchez; brother, Francis Sanchez; nephew, Gene Lopez; in-laws, Elias and Corina Sanchez and sister-in-law, Sylvia Brown. Mr. Sanchez is survived by his wife of 54 years, Connie Sanchez; children, Louis Sanchez and Polly of Rodarte, Dolora Rodriguez and husband Manuel of Rio Lucio, Catherine Sanchez of La Mesilla, Patrick Sanchez and Gina of Rodarte; 12 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; brothers, Rodolfo Sanchez and wife Belen of Rodarte and Jose Sanchez of Rodarte; sisters, Rose Trujillo of Nambe and Emily Sanchez and husband Abe of Ojo Sarco; caretakers, Lisa Albers, Eva Lopez, Monica Gutierrez and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Public visitation will begin on Wednesday, October 13, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at the St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Peñasco with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated on Thursday, October 14, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. also at the St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Peñasco. Burial to follow at the Llano de San Juan Catholic Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers, Joe Silva, Joe Marquez, Armando Romero, Al Sanchez, Charlie Sanchez, Jerry Sanchez, Jessie Sanchez and Larry Brown. Honorary pallbearers named are, Bobbie Louise Sanchez, Jason Rodriguez, David Sandoval and Anthony Sanchez. The Phil Sanchez family has entrusted their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
