Pete Medina

Pete A. Medina, 75, a resident of Santa Fe, passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Saturday, October 1, 2016. He was preceded in death by his beautiful wife, Adelita Medina; parents, Pedro Medina Sr. and Rafaelita Medina; father in law, Espiridon Romero; mother in law, Flavia Espinoza; brothers, Pat, Francisco, and Secondino Medina and sister, Teresa Medina. Pete served his country in the United States Airforce from 1959 through 1963. He was a true patriot who loved his country and was honored to serve. While serving in the Airforce he became his units boxing champion, earning the West Pacific Welterweight Title. He was married to his beautiful wife Adelita Medina for 48 years until her passing. Mr. Medina was a member of the New Life Family Fellowship Church. He was a devoted Christian, husband, father, grandfather, and friend who was very generous and full of faith and love. Mr. Medina is survived by his children, Edward Medina and wife Linda of Santa Fe, Tilla Vasquez and husband Gilbert of Alcalde, Theresa Medina-Montoya and husband Paul of Santa Fe; grandchildren, Mallory, Kristen, Edward Justin, Margarita, Angelica, Luisa, Gibbi, Nickolaus, Zabadiah, Bianca, Kiara, and Tyler; great-grandchild, Caleb; sisters, Celeste Romero, Olivia Lucero, Ninfa Martinez, Connie Dimas-Archuleta and Rosie Maes and numerous other relatives and friends. A devotional service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at New Life Family Fellowship in Santa Fe, with a dinner to follow. Burial will be held Thursday October 13, 2016 at 2:15 p.m. at the Santa Fe National Cemetery.   The family of Pete A.
