PERCY ESPINOZA, 31, a resident of Española passed away with his loving family at his side on Saturday, March 8, 2014. Percy was preceded in death by the love of his life, his soul mate and mother of his children, Crystal Garcia; father-in-law, Gilbert Garcia. Percy was a 2001 graduate of Española Valley High School and was an active member of the cross country team during his freshman and sophomore years. After graduation he made a career serving many members of the community as a CNA at Española Valley Nursing and Rehab. Percy is survived by the two people who captured his heart from the moment he held them, his wonderful children, Isaiah and Mariah; brothers and sisters who he loved and cared for deeply and have been with him through every step of his life. Jacklyn and Azalea Espinoza who have spent the last 4 months caring for his every need, Sandra Espinoza and fiancé Chris Gurule, Joey Espinoza and companion Kristin, Bobby Espinoza, Jennifer and husband James Gurule and the 1st baby he ever cared for his brother, Joshua "Kiko" Moreno; in-laws who he considered his immediate family, Linda and Ruben Vigil; brother-in-law, Randy and wife Camila Garcia; nephews, Jayden Martinez, Estevan and Elias Espinoza and David Gurule, as well as his one and only niece Kalista Garcia. Percy was blessed to have a very loving and close family friend survive him as well, who has supported and encouraged him for many years, Ruby Rohrs. Percy will be lovingly carried to his final resting place by his children Isaiah and Mariah. Public visitation will begin on Friday, March 14, 2014 at 6:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory, with a service to follow at 7:00 p.m. Memorial mass will be celebrated on Saturday, March 15, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Espanola, with a burial to follow at the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Española.
