Pedro (Pete) Age - 51 - Española Chavez

Pedro (Pete) Chavez, 51, a resident of Española passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 4, 2012 after a lengthy illness. Pete was an avid motorcyclist and loved his Harley. He loved spending time with his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesus Manuel Chavez and Gumercinda Nevarez; brother, Fransisco Chavez. Pedro is survived by his children: Manuel Chavez and wife Jacque, Paz Chavez and companion Juan Tena, Antonio Chavez, Brian Valencia and wife Stephanie, Brenda Ledezma and husband Javier, Jason Valencia, Nicole and Rodney Gallegos; sisters: Carmen and Manuela Chavez; grandchildren: Haley, Kris, Klariza, Dominic, Derrick and Kayla Chavez; special nephew, Edgar Perea; niece, Norma Ayala; numerous other loving relatives & friends. Public visitation will be held on Monday, July 9, 2012 at 6:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory with a rosary to follow at 7:00 p.m. The family of Pedro (Pete) Chavez has entrusted the care of their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley. 505-747-7477
