Paul S. Age - 75 Alcalde Ortiz

Paul S. Ortiz, 75, a lifelong resident of Alcalde went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 6, 2011. Paul was born on August 18, 1935. Mr. Ortiz was owner and operator of Paul’s Barber Shop in Alcalde. He was preceded in death by his parents, Julian and Florinda Ortiz; daughter, Jeanette Ortiz; brothers: Mike and Joe Ortiz; sister, Lucille Montoya; grandson, Joshua St. Martin; nephew, Nathan Ortiz; niece, Genevieve P. Ortiz. Mr. Ortiz is survived by his children: Paula Ortiz, Joseph Ortiz and wife Beverly, Lisa St. Martin; grandsons who he raised: Antonio and Jacob Ortiz all of Alcalde; sisters: Carrie Mae Martinez and husband Cristobal of Alcalde, Edna Maestas and husband Edward of Española; brothers: Ernie Ortiz and wife Mary Lou, Julian Ortiz and wife JoAnn all of Alcalde, Frank Ortiz and wife Angela of El Rito; sister-in-law, Flora Ortiz of Albuquerque; mother of his children, Genevieve Archuleta; 7 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; numerous other loving family members & friends. Cremation has taken place. A rosary will be recited on Saturday, July 9, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at the St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Alcalde with memorial mass to follow at 11:00 a.m. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be: Antonio, Jacob and James Ortiz, Derrick and Jerry Ryan Trujillo and Juan Rivera, Angelica Trujillo, Cynthia Martinez, Tiffany Ortiz, Kimberly Ortiz, Jasmine Trujillo, Trysten Campos, Emily and Jeanette Ortiz and Katelyn Martinez. The family of Paul S. Ortiz has entrusted the care of their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
