Paul (Pablo) Age - 50 - Chamita Duran

Paul (Pablo) Duran, 50, a lifelong resident of Chamita, NM passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, July 14, 2012. Pablo as he was affectionately known by his family and many friends was always helpful and a hard worker. Pablo worked around the community of Chamita doing odd jobs for mostly all of his neighbors and many friends. Pablo loved fishing, hunting, horseback riding, camping, and breaking horses. He loved helping his mom in her food booth “La Tamalera” where he cooked the hamburgers. He also loved to go to the Little Beaver Run in Dulce also Chama Days. He loved his family especially his nieces & nephews. Pablo was preceded in death by his brother, Floyd Trujillo; close nephew, J.D. Mascarenas Jr.; paternal grandparents, Jose Todocio and Lucia Duran; maternal grandparents, Pedro and Maria Frutosa Sanchez; uncles/aunts: Andronico Duran, Sergio Duran, Gregorita Rael, Cleo Barela, Juanita Burunda, Laura Martinez, Lala Bardusco, Dennis Sanchez, Willie and wife Lydia Sanchez, LouAnn Sanchez and Viola McTeigue. Pablo is survived by his son, Paul Trujillo; parents, Melisendro and Eugenia Duran; brothers/sisters: Betty Espinoza (Manuel), Melisendro Duran Jr. (Mary Lou), Gene Duran companion Stella, Abel, Connie Montoya (Michael), Louanna Maestas (Milton), Joe Duran (Robin), Rosie Mascarenas (J.D.), Pat Duran (Mari), Pauline Rael (Rubel), Brenda Marquez (Rogelio); niece he considered a sister, Goldyne Duran; uncles/aunts: Richard Sanchez, Anita Ulibarri and Acelia Sandoval; nephews/nieces: Bryan, Conrad, Diego, Everette, Angela, Vanessa, JV, Christy, Adrian, Joylene, Alejandra, Michele, Carlos, Jose, Tony, Miguel, Gabriel, Melissa, Diondra, Aracely and Emerald; and numerous relatives & close friends. Rosary will be recited on Sunday, July 22, 2012 at 5:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory. Funeral service will be held on Monday, July 23, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home with burial to follow at San Pedro Cemetery in Chamita. The family of Paul (Pablo) Duran has entrusted the care of their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
