Pauline “Paula” A. Roybal, 48, a resident of El Rancho passed away on Monday, May 14, 2012. Paula was a very loving mother and kind person, very smart and full of talent through her art and music. She loved to laugh and make others laugh as well. Paula was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Alfredo and Gregorita Vigil; paternal grandparents, Epifanio and Eleanor Roybal; sisters: Rebecca and Jacqueline Roybal; brother, Christobal “Chris” Roybal; niece, Matilda “Mattie” Gallegos; uncles: Orlando and Manuel Vigil; first cousin, Miquelita Sanchez; and her late husband, Dennis W. Gomez. Paula is survived by her father, Jose Alfredo Roybal and wife Amy of El Rancho, NM; mother, Matilda Roybal of San Diego, CA; children: Melinda Gomez of Nambe, NM, Dennis Gomez of Las Vegas, NV, David Gomez of El Rancho, NM; grandchildren: Esteban and Marisol Figueroa of Española, NM, Johnny Lopez of El Rancho, NM, Phoenix Gomez of Santa Fe, NM; brothers/sisters: Frieda Romero of San Diego, CA, Cindy Gurule and husband Lloyd of El Rancho, NM, Rumaldo, Ishmael, Eliazar, Maclovia, Miriam, and Marietta Roybal of El Rancho, NM, Eleanor Roybal of Farmington, NM, Fred Roybal and wife Diana of Virginia, Terry Atkins and husband Kim of Wyoming; companion, Francisco Lopez of Chimayo, NM; closest friend, Sandy and Benito Roybal of El Rancho, NM.; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins & other loving relatives and friends. Cremation has been arranged for and a memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 19, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at the River of Life Church in Jacona with the following serving the family as honorary pallbearers: Dennis Gomez, Freddie Roybal, Samuel Romero, David Gomez, Nef Roybal and Greg Romero. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made to her account at DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory. The family of Pauline “Paula” A.
