Paul K. Schultz, 80, a resident of Chama, beloved husband, father, and grandfather passed away peacefully at home in his sleep on Saturday, December 10, 2016. He was preceded in death by his parents, Vernon and Elmina Schultz of MN; his children, Kelly Lock and Deborah Schultz of Albuquerque, NM. He is survived by his wife, Carol Schultz of Brazos, NM; children, Kim Lock Holtry, Kory Lock, David Schultz and Brandon Schultz; his grandchildren, Derek Adams, Justin DiGregorio, Greg Lock, Stephanie Lock, Victoria Schultz, Kaleb Adams, Kevin Schultz, Carlee Adams, Abigail Schultz, Hailey Schultz and Haiden Schultz along with several wonderful great grandchildren.
Paul was a graduate of the University of Minnesota and a veteran of the Korean War, the owner of Duke City Meat Co., Nob Hill Supermarket, Paul's Meat and Bakery, and other enterprises. He was a charter member of the Brazos Volunteer Fire Department and active in San Jose Catholic Church. His legacy was his family and his positive influence on the communities he tirelessly served. He will be greatly missed. A rosary will be recited on Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at 6:30 p.m. at San Jose Catholic Church in Los Ojos. Memorial mass will be held on Thursday, December 15, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. also at San Jose Catholic Church.
