Patsy C. "Patsy" Age - 65 - Españo War

Patricia C. “Patsy” War, 65, a resident of Española passed away from a lengthy illness on Saturday, April 27, 2013. She was preceded in death by her parents, Donicio and Geneva Montoya; brother, Danny Montoya; sister, Diane Montoya; nephew, Jalen Bustos. Patsy was a loving wife, sister and aunt with a big heart of gold. She was surrounded by many who looked up to her as their “momma.” She was a great step-mother. Patsy gave unconditionally. Her favorite times were spent with Henry, going for wood, and loved going dancing. Patsy was a wonderful cook, who loved to eat. She will be dearly missed. Rest in peace. Patsy is survived by her husband, Henry Martinez of Española; former husband, Armando War of Hernandez, NM; sisters: Dolores Esquibel and husband Lee of San Pedro, NM, Frances Mondragon of La Jara, CO; brother, Ben Montoya and wife Dolly of Chili, NM; sisters: Rita Arellano and husband Eusebio of Chamita, NM, Marie Carey and companion Phil of Rio Chama and Yvonne of Santa Cruz, NM; brothers: Ricky Montoya and wife Andrea of Medanales, NM, Lonnie Montoya and companion Linda of Española; numerous other loving nieces, nephews, cousins & friends. Public visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 1, 2013 at 6:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Peace of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory with a rosary to follow at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, May 2, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at La Iglesia de Santa Cruz de la Cañada with burial to take place at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 3:00 p.m. with the following serving the family as pallbearers: Kenny Martinez Sr., Kenneth Henry Martinez III, Phillip Vigil, Dino Bustos, Phillip Martinez, Albert Martinez Jr., Alex Salazar and Leroy Martinez. The family of Patricia C. “Patsy” War have entrusted the care of their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
