Patricia Cordova, 40, a resident of Gallina, passed away on Wednesday, October 10, 2013. Patricia was preceded in death by her father, Joe O. Cordova; maternal grandmother Lucy Gonzales; paternal grandparents, and several uncles. Patricia was a loving daughter, sister, niece, aunt, and friend. She loved her family greatly especially her nieces and nephews. There was not a person’s path she crossed that she did not befriend. She always offered a helping hand to everyone. It was never in her nature to say no to anyone. Patricia is survived by her mother Shirley Cordova of Gallina; sisters, Elvira Romero of Rio Rancho and Esperanza Cordova of Cuba, brothers, Sammy Joe and Jacob Cordova of Gallina, Theodore Cordova and partner Jennifer of Cuba, nieces and nephews Ashley and Jeremy of Española, Matthew Romero of Rio Rancho, Joshua and Mila Cordova of Cuba, Madeline, Nathaniel and Tyler of Gallina, and one great niece Aryana Apodaca of Española. Patricia had many aunts, uncles, two of whom she was very close to Lucille Gonzales and Jessie Schmidt, and very special cousin Kassidie Arellano and many other cousins. Serving the family as pallbearers are her nephews; Matthew Romero, Joshua Cordova, and Jeremy Apodaca, cousins Michael Gonzales, John Suskey, and Ted Martinez, nieces and nephews serving as honorary pallbearers are Nathaniel, Tyler, Madeline, and Mila Cordova, Ashley Romero, daughter Aryana Apodaca, and Kassidie Arellano. Public visitation will begin on Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Christian Faith Fellowship in Gallina, with a funeral at 11:00 a.m. burial to follow at the family plot in Gallina. The family of Patricia Cordova has entrusted their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
