Patricia (Patsy) Garcia

PATRICIA (PATSY) ANN GARCIA , 69, a resident of Chama, was born November 14, 1949 and passed away on Wednesday, January 2, 2019. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jose N. and Reyes Garcia; nephew, Peter Lopez and sister-in-law, Emma Lopez. She was born in Roswell to Joe N. and Reyes Garcia. She worked in the medical field for more than 30 years. She worked at numerous hospitals, clinics and EMS services. She was an amazing cook and loved to cater events. Ms. Garcia is survived by her children, Joey Garcia and wife Cecelia of Chama and Wenona Garcia of Chama; grandchildren, Cody Garcia, Kalee Gallegos and husband Estevan; brother, Joe Lopez and family, Tommy and Julia and family, Sherry Hurt and family, Jimmy Garcia and family and numerous other relatives and friends. A devotional service will be held on Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. at the Valley Worship Center in Chama. Funeral service will take place on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. also at the Valley Worship Center in Chama. Burial to follow at the Cedar Hill Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers, David Solis, Cyrus Garcia, Everette Degraaf, John Penman, Lance Peper, Dion Garcia and Joe Lopez, Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be; Kalee Gallegos, Cody Garcia, Adrianna Ortiz, Marie and Alyssa Gallegos, Johnny Garcia, Gasper Alire, Dennis Garcia, Christopher Hurt, Marie Alire, David Alire Garcia, Noah Lopez, Ruben Talamante, Vicente Talamante, Nathan Garcia, Cole Garcia and Felix Sosa. The family of Patricia (Patsy) Ann Garcia has entrusted their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
