Patricia, also known as Patsy, Patricia, Sweety, Pot-Pot, Auntie Tortilla, Blondie, Pats, Helen (in school), and “Santa”; was raised in Nambe where she attended Pojoaque Valley schools. She went on to have a successful 30-year career at the Los Alamos National Laboratory where she worked in the Protocol Office, preparing meetings and visits with LANL employees, State Politicians, and National and International Dignitaries.
In 1981 she married her soulmate, Albert. They raised their two sons (her pride and joy) Steven and Alex in beautiful Chimayo surrounded by family.
Patricia was very loving and was always up for celebrating the wins in life and if you were struggling or down on your luck, she was right there to help you get back on your feet. Whether it was words of wisdom (even if they were stern - when you needed to get your act together) or if you needed a roof over your head while you got back on track, she was opening her door and preparing a place for you at her table.
She was greeted in Heaven by her loving son, Steven A. Martinez; her beautiful mother, Virginia L. Romero and father Jose C. Romero; her most special and loving brother George Romero and brother Horacio Romero; her in-laws whom she loved dearly Manuel and Carmelita Martinez; her brothers-in-law Amado Martinez, Arsenio Romero, and David Martinez; sisters-in-law Lucille Ortiz, and Veronica Trujillo (Florentino).
