PASQUALITA PHILLIPS, 91, a resident of Ohkay Owingeh, passed away on Sunday, February 6, 2011. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alcario and Dolorita Archuleta; husband, Bill Phillips; son, Gary Phillips; grandson, Christopher Phillips; sisters, Nestora, Cecilia, Rose and Felipita and brother, Manuel. She was a lifelong resident of Ohkay Owingeh and a member of the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. She will be remembered for her cooking and for making pottery and ceramics. She loved her family dearly and will be missed. Mrs. Phillips is survived by her daughters, Bernadette Townsend and Clare Snow and husband James all of Ohkay Owingeh and Lucy Phillips of Albuquerque; son, Larry Phillips Sr. and wife Barbara of Ohkay Owingeh; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends. A rosary will be recited on Monday, February 7, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Peace at DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory. Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated on Tuesday, February 8, 2011 at 9:00 a.m. at the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Ohkay Owingeh. Burial to follow at the Ohkay Owingeh Cemetery with her grandson and great-grandsons serving as pallbearers.
