Pablita Borrego, 95, a resident of El Guique, passed away on Thursday, December 18, 2014. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas L. Borrego; children, Andres, Eugene, Emilio Borrego, Bernardo Baroz Jr., Grandchildren, Danny Atencio, and Gilbert Maestas; parents, Emilio and Delfinia Gonzales; mother that raised her, Adela Gonzales; brothers and sisters, Luis Gonzales, Samuel Gonzales, Manuel Gonzales, Jose Gonzales, Susie Martinez, and Veronize, Garcia. Pablita is survived by her children, Josina Clark and Companion, Ralph, Lourdes Atencio and husband Tony of El Duende, Robert Borrego and wife Carrie, and Michael Borrego and wife Florinda all of El Guique; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; daughters-in-law, Melva Baros, Patricia Borrego; sisters, Ramona Vigil (Philimon), Dolores Martinez, (late Pete Martinez); sister-in-law, Anna Gonzales, and numerous other loving relatives and friends. Public visitation will begin on Saturday, December 20, 2014 at 5:30 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory, with a rosary to be recited at 6:00 p.m. a second rosary will be recited on Sunday, December 21, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Ohkay Owingeh. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday, December 22, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, with a burial to follow at the El Guique Catholic Cemetery, with the following serving as pallbearers, Joe Ray Borrego, Anthony Atencio, Andres Borrego, Jared Maestas, Larry Atencio, and Gene Borrego, honorary pallbearers will be remaining grandchildren. The family of Pablita Borrego has entrusted the care of their loved one to the DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.\r\n
