Otilia G. - Age 86 - Hernandez Maestas

OTILIA G. MAESTAS, 86, a resident of Hernandez and originally of Leadville, CO, passed away on Sunday, September 2, 2012 following a lengthy illness. She was preceded in death by her parents, Crespino and Beatrice Gonzales; sister, Virginia, Olivia and Christina; brother, Rafael; nephew raised by her, Gene Gonzales. Mrs. Maestas is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, Jose Ruben Maestas of Hernandez and Leadville, CO; children, Jerry Maestas and wife MaryAnn, Rudy Maestas and wife Dorothy all of Leadville, CO, Hazel Quintana and husband Julian of Sombrillo, Sandra Vasquez and husband Bonifacio of Española and Debbie Cisneros and husband Eli of Leadville, CO; sisters-in-law, Dora Maestas and Viola Gonzales both of Albuquerque, Emma Romero of Llano de San Juan and Julia Romero of Albuquerque; 9 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends. Rosary will be recited on Wednesday, September 5, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Peace of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday, September 6, 2012 at 9:00 a.m. at La Iglesia de Santa Cruz de la Cañada with burial to follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 11:15 a.m. with the following serving as pallbearers: Troy Vasquez, Steven Maestas, Kenny and Frank Quintana, Erica Vasquez and Buck Frank.
