Orlando J. Age - 40 - Chimayo Baca, Jr.

ORLANDO J. BACA, JR., 40, a lifelong resident of Chimayo, went with our Lord on Saturday, April 6, 2013 following a lengthy illness. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Claudio and Leonardita Baca of Chimayo; maternal grandmother, Rosaura Martinez of Española. Orlando J. Baca, Jr. is survived by his father, Orlando Baca and wife Evelyn of Chimayo; mother, Ernestina “Tina” Baca; brother, Adam Baca of Arizona; son, Joseph Torres; mother of his son, Adelina of Albuquerque; two step brothers and two step sisters: Tammie Garcia and husband Bobby, Mike Martinez and wife Jennifer, Kenny Martinez and Renee Martinez; also are his uncles and aunts all of Chimayo: Cornelio Baca and wife Lydia, Joe P. Baca and wife Rosalie, Gilbert Baca and wife Ruby; cousins are as follows, Annette Baca of Española, Joanna Salazar of Chimayo, Rubel Baca and wife Carla of Alcalde, Dickie Baca and wife Crystal, Glenn Baca of Chimayo, David Trujillo and wife Theresa of Española, Soraida DeAguero and husband Tony of Cuarteles, Brenda DeVargas and husband Johnny of La Mesilla and Jessie Trujillo of Española; and nineteen great-cousins; Orlando had two special cousins: Rubel and Dickie Baca; numerous other loving relatives & friends. Public visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at 6:30 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory with a rosary to follow at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday, April 11, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church in Chimayo with burial to follow Nuestra Señora de Dolores Catholic Cemetery in Chimayo with the following serving all pallbearers: Louie, Dickie and Glen Baca, Mike Martinez, Arturo Sandoval and Mike Martinez Jr. Honorary pallbearers named are his best friends: Manuel Martinez, Andres Valdes, Amor Leyba, Brian and Mario Garcia, Carlos Salazar, Jerod Trujillo, Gilbert Sandoval and Toby Morfin. The family of Orlando J. Baca, Jr. has entrusted their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
