Odilia Montoya, age 97, a resident of Vadito, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 23, 2016 of natural causes. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jacobo Montoya; son, Moises Montoya; her Nanita Epimenia Baca; parents, Juan Antonio and Rebecca Romero; sons-in-law, Tony Zamora, Albert Ortiz, Joe Segovia, Juan Romero, Harvey Fernandez and six grandchildren. She was a God fearing woman, inspiring her whole family to follow the Lord. She loved her family dearly. She loved to sew and crochet. She is survived by her children, Helen Zamora, Adelaida Ortiz, Becky Segovia, Georgina Romero, Epimenia Sanchez and spouse Joe, Gene Montoya, Peggy Hall and husband John; 28 grandchildren, 73 great-grandchildren and 66 great-great grandchildren; Special thanks to Susie Lopez, Elizabeth Lopez, Jeanette Martinez, Allyson Fernandez and Poline Tafoya. A devotional Service will be held on Thursday, June 30, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. at Victory Faith Church in Espanola. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, July 1, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Chamisal Light House Church, with a burial to follow at Vadito Community Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers, Israel Hall, Isaac Harvey Martinez, Kevin Fernandez, and Xavier Vigil. A reception will be held at the Peñasco Community Center.
