Octavio Juan Martinez Jr. (AKA Diablo), 75, of Moriarty, NM, and a life long resident of Cordova, NM, passed away on July 15, 2023.
Octavio is preceded in death by his wife Veronica Martinez; parents Octavio and Patrocinia Martinez; sons Anthony Jason Martinez and Marvin Martinez; grandson Roel Martinez; Godson Tommy Martinez; mother of his sons Edna Herrera; brothers Adonil, Jose Rubel and Dennis Martinez; sisters Eliza Martinez and Mabel Sherwood; grand-father Juan Martin Martinez; nephew Ronnie (Cholo) Martinez.
He is survived by his daughter Jolene Martinez; sons Johnny and Phillip Martinez; grandchildren Shilene, Veronica, Mia, Damian, Juan, Mario Martinez; great grandchildren Audrey Martinez, Ava Shlosise, Roel Martinez Jr., Dominick Chavez, McKenzie Dixon, Duris Dixon; Godson Christopher Pacheco; brother Filiberto Martinez; sisters Dorothy Rael and Florinda Valdez; close friends Gilbert and Carol Romero, Leo Chavez and sister-in-law Angie Chavez.
Octavio worked for the Grants Mines for many years. He was a hard worker. He also was a worker for many construction’s company. Octavio was a beautiful loving soul. He loved his one and only daughter Jolene and all his sons, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His grandchildren were his life. He loved them so very much. He was a very loved uncle by all his nieces and nephews. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, July, 28, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. at Cordova Presbyterian Cemetery in Cordova, NM.
Honorary Pallbearer’s are all his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
