Octaviano Gonzales

OCTAVIANO (TOBY) GONZALES, 93, a resident of Gallina passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 16, 2019 surrounded by his family. Octaviano was born March 18, 1926 to Ambrosio and Leocadia Gonzales. Octaviano was preceded in death by both his parents, his wife of 50 years, Lucy Gonzales; son, Johnny Gonzales; granddaughters, Patricia Cordova and Jessica Gonzales; brothers George and Gilbert Gonzales; sister Dorothy Jacquez. He is survived by his daughters, Shirley Cordova, Jessie, Mary Rose, Cordy, Lucille Gonzales, Bertha O’Keefe, sons, Joe and Peter Gonzales; sister Carmelita Jacquez; a special granddaughter, Kassidie Arellano, 19 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends. Public visitation will begin on Monday, April 22, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Gallina, with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. also at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, with a burial to follow at the Capulin Cemetery. Serving the family as pallbearers will be Sammy Joe Cordova, Michael Gonzales, Joseph Aragon, Louis Martinez, Nathaniel Cordova, and Teddy Cordova; honorary pallbearers will be his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A special thank you to AmberCare Hospice for the wonderful care showed toward Octaviano.
