Norma Jean Fernandez went to be with our Lord on November 2, 2023, surrounded by her loving husband, her children and grandchildren.

She was born on December 17, 1957, Fallon, NV, to George and Lillian Lucero.

Norma was a loving and charismatic person.  Anyone who met her loved her.  She had a personality that could light up any room.  Anywhere she went she could make a friend.  Her loving and kind soul always left a long impression.

Norma’s favorite pastime was spending time at the casino with her loving husband Leo.  If no one could find them chances were they were gambling together.

She had such a beautiful mind, she was so creative that she made the most beautiful crafts from drawing, quilting and her latest hobby of making Gnome cups with her husband and daughter.

Norma is preceded in death by her parents George and Lillian Lucero, father-in-law Leo Fernandez Sr., nephews Jimmy Chavez, Gilbert Mascarenas Jr. and Quinn Tyler, nieces Ramona Miera and Marsha Lucero.

She is survived by her loving husband of 42 years Leo Fernandez Jr.; mother-in-law Julia Fernandez; children Randie Kroshus, Christella Elana Fernandez (Zhavonne), Norman (Veronica) and Denise Fernandez; grandchildren Mariah and Maranda Mermejo, Monaye and Myisha Velarde, Makayla Kroshus, Jauquine Fernandez, Zhaliza and Nevaeh Ferandez, Fernando Maez, Lawrence, Chad, Ashley and Jessica Cruz; sisters Georgia Chavez, Marie Tyler, Linda Montoya (Raymond), Tammy and Libby Lucero, Jane Fernandez, and Lorrie Romero (Joe); brothers David (Anita), George Jr. (Agnes) and Frank Lucero, Joe Rodriguez (Linda), Allen (Sharon) and Joseph Fernandez, 7 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
