Norina Francis Ashmore

Norina Francis Ashmore, 86, was born November 13, 1936 in Embudo, New Mexico.  She passed away peacefully on December 8, 2022, the Day of the Immaculate Conception after a long battle with breast cancer.  Norina was a beloved Mother, Grandmother, Aunt and Sister.  She was loved deeply by all who knew her and will be greatly missed.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Ashmore, her parents, Luis and Josefina Archuleta, and her brother Ivan and sister Beulah, brother in law Eloy Romero

Norina lived in New Mexico, Massachusetts and Libya, Africa where she accompanied her husband while in the military. She was the sweetest and kindest person you could ever meet.  Norina was always full of joy when anyone would visit her.   She was stoic and rarely complained about her sickness and prayed daily for good health and happiness for those close to her.   She was truly a blessing!

Norina is survived by her children, Wayne and his wife, Paula, Randy and his husband, Robert and Linda and her partner, Scott, as well as her grandchildren Kayla, Tarah, Ryan and Andrew.

She is also survived by her sister Bernice Romero: brothers, Dr. Walter Archuleta and his wife, Carmel and Wilbert Archuleta and his wife, Linda and many nieces and nephews.

The services will take place December 20, 2022, at the DeVargas Funeral Home.  A public viewing is at 10:00 a.m. with services starting at 11:00 a.m.  Interment will follow at the Father Kupper Cemetery in Embudo.
