Nona Coen

Nona Fay Coen, a born May 6, 1929 passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 9, 2015 at the age of 86. Nona Coen was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Ivan Coen; mother, Eula and her father Thomas Warnell Batts. A resident of Santo Nino, NM. She is survived by her son, Dennis Lee Coen and his wife Remedios Coen and their kids, Raul II, Desrheanila, Remedios, and Loreta of the home. Her son Ivan Ernest Coen and his wife Kay Coen of Espanola, Her daughter Jeri Moore and her husband Ron Moore, their kids Monty and Jodi Moore of Kerrville, Texas. There were two special young men in her life Isreal and Catalino Flores who she took care of. She was very close to her sister-in-law Janice Coen and her nieces and nephews from Aztec, NM. She was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, and friend. She saw the best in everyone. She was always willing to lend a hand to those less fortunate and in need. She was the youngest of 12 siblings, Nona lived in Santo Nino for 50 years and loved all her neighbors. Devotional service will be held on Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at 9:00 a.m. at Valley Bible Baptist Church in Arroyo Seco, with a burial to follow at 11:15 a.m. at the Santa Fe National Cemetery.
