NOBERTO ALEJANDRO GARCIA, 62, a resident of Rio Chama, passed away on Monday, August 6, 2012. He was preceded in death by his parents, Amarante and Priscillina Garcia; first wife and mother to his daughter, Urbanita Salazar Garcia; father-in-law, Joe M. Trujillo; Godparents, Gregorio and Mela Garcia; uncle, Gregorio Salazar and aunt, Onofre Salazar. Noberto was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather who was an avid hunter and loved being outdoors. Mr. Garcia is survived by his wife of 34 years, Elizabeth A. Garcia; daughter, Julie Lawrence and husband Shaun; sons, Nathan Garcia and Gregory Salazar; grandchildren, Mia Lawrence and Santiago and Ojito Garcia; brother, Guadalupe Garcia and wife Laura; sister, Diolinda Cioe (Paul); padrino, Julio Martinez; special aunts, Rosa Sanchez and Angie Maestas; mother-in-law, Amelia Trujillo; sisters-in-law, Crestina Garcia Josephine, Cecila (Ken), Angela (Peter), Caroline (Cipie) and Rosalie (Marcos); God-daughter, Audrey; special niece, Natasha (Eli); numerous other nieces & nephews; special cousins, Lillian, Joseph, Pita and Dennis and numerous other relatives and friends. Public visitation will begin on Wednesday, August 8, 2012 at 6:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Peace of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. A second rosary will be recited on Thursday, August 9, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, August 10, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the St. Anthony Catholic Church in Medanales. Burial will be held on Monday, August 13, 2012 at 11:15 a.m. at the Santa Fe National Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers, Nathan Garcia, Gregory Salazar, Shaun Lawrence, Leonard Vigil, Sr., Roy Maestas and Ricky Martinez. Honorary pallbearers named are, Joseph Maestas, Dennis Salazar, Gregorio Garcia, Jr., Mia Lawrence and Santiago and Ojito Garcia.
