Nazaria "Nancy" Trujillo

March 11, 1933 — September 27, 2023

Nazaria “Nancy” Trujillo, 90, passed away peacefully at home on September 27, 2023.  

Nancy was born in Truchas, NM, on March 11, 1933, to Heremerejildo and Epimenia Ortiz.  

Nancy and her late husband Eppie Trujillo raised three children. Nancy was a homemaker after her children were born.  Nancy liked to cook, crochet, and tend to her indoor and outdoor plants. Nancy also enjoyed watching NBA games. 

Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, Eppie; parents; sons-in-law, Nestor Armijo Jr. and Charles F. Brehm Jr.; sisters, Ascensionita (Gregorio) Lopez, Maria S. (Porfirio) Sanchez; sister-in-law Olivia Ortiz; in-laws, Lucas and Adela Trujillo; brothers and sisters-in law; Leo (Mary) Trujillo; Adolfo (Lilly) Trujillo; Pete Trujillo; Joe Trujillo; Emma (Santiago) Sisneros; Vicentita (Eloy) Esquibel; Manuelita (Tomas) Archuleta; and several nieces and nephews. 

Nancy is survived by daughter; Diana Brehm, son, Dennis Trujillo; and daughter, Leslie (Jake) Montoya. Her grandchildren Denise (Jesse) Salazar and Isaac (Jessica Rae) Trujillo. Great-grandchildren Ricardo (Sierra) and daughter Lyla Salazar; Caleb Salazar; Harrison and Ella Rae Trujillo. Brothers and sisters; Christobal (Sabinita) Ortiz; Arturo Ortiz; Martina (Eppie) Romero and Ruth Sandoval. In-laws: Rose Medina; Bertha (Seferino) Borrego, Lucas (Olivia) Trujillo, and many nephews and nieces.

Services will take place on Tuesday, October 10, 2023, at San Juan Bautista Church,  with a Rosary at 10:30 am, Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 am. Burial will follow at the Alcalde Cemetery after Mass. A luncheon will follow at the Alcalde Community Center. 

Pallbearers: Ruben Rodriguez, Allen Trujillo, Ernest Borrego, Jesse Salazar, Ricardo Salazar and Caleb Salazar. 

The family would like to thank Yessenia Fuentes (mom’s care giver) and Dr. Tanya Reyes for the love and dedication, Presbyterian Hospital Doctors and staff for their professional care given to our mom while hospitalized, Presbyterian Hospice for love and support given to mom.  We’d like to thank family and friends for praying the rosary, visits, food and phone calls during these most difficulty times in our lives.
