Natividad Eloy - Age 80 - Chimayo Martinez

NATIVIDAD ELOY MARTINEZ, 80, a resident of Chimayo, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, June 1, 2014. He was preceded in death by his wife, Carolina Arroyos Drysdale; mother-in-law, Berna Arroyos; brother-in-law, Andrew Arroyos; parents, Moises and Antonia Martinez and brother, Johnny Ortega. Natividad loved fishing, hunting, playing cards, camping and going to the casino. He worked and lived in Colorado, California and Arizona and his beloved New Mexico. Mr. Martinez is survived by his children, Joseph Drysdale, Donald Ray Horton, Maria Urquidi, Josephine Alvarez and Lisa Talache; grandchildren, Jose and Adam Quintana, Martin Rodriguez, Vanessa Quintero, Maria Gutierrez and Lucerito Rodriguez, Daisy Drysdale; granddaughter/God-daughter, Estrella Urquidi; niece, Gina Salazar and husband David; nephews, Terell and Brian Osmus; sister, Cora Osmus; very close and dear cousins, Priscilla Trujillo, Charlotte Fernandez and husband Charlie and Antonio Ruiz and numerous other relatives and friends. A rosary will be recited on Thursday, June 19, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church in Chimayo. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday, June 20, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. also at Holy Family Catholic Church. The family of Natividad Eloy Martinez has entrusted the care of their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.\r\n \r\n
