Naomi Maxine Naranjo
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Naomi Maxine Naranjo, who left us to be with the Lord, on Saturday, March 15, 2025, at age 48. Naomi was born on February 10th, 1977, in Santa Fe, NM.
Naomi was a beloved mother, daughter, sister and friend to many. She was a kind and loving soul who dedicated many years of her life as a home health aide, caring for her grandmother Cora, her uncle Ross, and many elders in the El Rito community. Naomi had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and found joy in spending time in nature. She also had a true passion for cooking, often sharing her delicious meals with family and friends. Her kitchen was always filled with love and warmth. Naomi’s heart was filled with love for her mother, Susie, who she took care of lovingly, until her passing.
Naomi was preceded in death by her brother Ronald Naranjo; mother Susie Naranjo; paternal and maternal grandparents; and most recently her uncle Ross Lopez.
Naomi is survived by her longtime companion Joey Vigil, of El Rito; daughter Mikella Vigil of Santa Fe; son Ezekiel Vigil of Santa Clara; father Howard Naranjo Sr. of Santa Clara; Howard Naranjo Jr. (Melissa) of Santa Clara; Robert Naranjo (Marsha) of Alcalde; Karla Naranjo (Mark) of Vallecitos; Jerome Naranjo (Angie) of Espanola; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
Naomi was loved unconditionally and will be dearly missed by everybody and all that knew her. Her kindness, warmth, and love touched the lives of so many, and she leaves behind a legacy of compassion that will never be forgotten.
Wake Services will be held at 6:00pm on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, at house #110 Country Road 2 in (Santa Clara) Espanola, NM.
Burial will be on Thursday, March 20th, 2025, at 9:00am at Santa Clara Pueblo Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be, Dominic Ortiz, Marcos Martinez, Jude Naranjo, Jonah Mondragón, Matthew Suazo, and Matthew Trujillo.
Honorary pallbearers will be her nieces and nephews.
