Naedin Gallegos

Naedin Gallegos, 70, Our beloved mother, sister, aunt and grandmother passed away Monday, August 22, 2016 at her home in Española. She was born on July 23, 1946 in Embudo, New Mexico. Naedin was preceded in death by her parents Miguel “Mike” and Idalia Gallegos of Petaca. Naedin instilled a strong commitment to faith and a passion for caring and determination in her family. Naedin is survived by her two sons, Tim and Matthew Martinez of Ohkay Owingeh; grandsons, Timo Martinez and Malachi Viarrial Martinez, great grandchildren, Timmy Martinez and Grace Mora; brother Rudy Gallegos and sisters Betty Andrade, Irene Rizo, Frances Mascareñas, Joann Trujillo, Tina Lopez and close friends and supporters, Rigo and Lupe Zapata and Ruben Salazar as well as numerous nieces, nephews, loving relatives and dear friends. Naedin had an established career working at Los Alamos National Laboratory until her retirement. She will be remembered by her passion for cooking and always helping others. She was most happy spending time with family and friends and especially loved laughing and playing with her grandchildren. Naedin will be greatly missed by many but her memory will remain strong for all those she touched and loved. A rosary will be recited on Saturday, August 27, 2016 at 9:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Ohkay Owingeh, with a memorial mass to follow at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be held at La Petaca Cemetery. The family of Naedin Gallegos invites friends and relatives to join in a community meal at the San Juan Parish Hall following the burial in Petaca. The family of Naedin B.
