Ms. Helen Shirley

MS. HELEN MARIE SHIRLEY, 60, a resident of Espanola, passed away on Monday, January 28, 2019. Ms. Helen is preceded in death by her parents, John and Lucy Eatmon.  Helen was always a hard worker. She also had a heart of Gold. She always took great pride in the Delancey St. Foundation. She loved visiting the local casinos, including Buffalo Thunder but her all time favorite was the Santa Claran Casino.  She is survived by her daughter, Jessica Brown; grandchildren, Kayla Brackens, and Zoey Gaines; close friends, Yvette Hartzol, Charyce Martin, and Chanel Gomez; Goddaughter, Marsha Gomez; and her roommate, Eliseo Trujillo Jr. Public Visitation will begin on Saturday, February 2, 2019 at 10:00 a.m., in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory, followed by a Memorial service at 11:00 a.m. Serving the family as pallbearers will be all her friends and family at the Delancey St. Foundation and Dreon Brown. The family of Ms. Helen Marie Shirley has entrusted the care of their loved one to the DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Espanola Valley.
