MONICA F. ORTEGA PEÑA, devoted mother, wife and daughter, born October 8, 1961, died peacefully at her home in Santa Fe on Monday, October 24, 2011. She was preceded in death by her sister, Sandra and brother, Alex. She is survived by husband, Joe Peña; children, Joseph and Keyana; parents, Lupe and Julian Jaramillo; brother, George Ortega; step-brothers, Dan and wife Cindy, Daryl and wife Jennifer, Debbie and husband Jessie; God-parents, Lucita and Robert Lopez; mother-in-law, Jean Peña; brothers-in-law, Will Peña and children Manuel, Sean, William, Tammy, Renee and Ernie, Abe and wife Tamara, Mary Lou and children, Leslie, Billy and Carl; friend, Angel Quintana and family, David Sanchez and family and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Cremation has taken place. A rosary will be recited on Monday, October 31, 2011 at 9:00 a.m. at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Pojoaque with a memorial mass to follow at 10:00 a.m. The family of Monica F. Ortega Peña has entrusted their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
