Monica - Age 41 - Lindrith Nelson

Monica Yvette Nelson, 41, a resident of Lindrith passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, November 30, 2013. She was preceded in death by her mother, Patricia Ann Nelson; paternal grandparents, JD and Lucille Nelson; maternal grandparents, John and Mozelle Wise; and cousin, Brannon Hatley. Monica was born in Hobbs and raised in Lindrith, she enjoyed her art work and loved her animals. Monica was a graduate from Coronado High School and went on to graduate from ITT Tech with her computer Aided Drafting Degree. She enjoyed traveling and meeting new people. Monica is survived by her son, Nik Figueroa; father, Gerry Nelson; sisters, Gerri Shipley and spouse Don, Michelle Jaramillo and spouse Frank; nieces, Katrina Davis, and Kristann Nelson; nephew, Bryce Jaramillo, and numerous uncles, aunts cousins and friends. Memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 5, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at the Lindrith Baptist Church in Lindrith. The family of Monica Nelson has entrusted their loved one to the DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
