MOISES SALAZAR of Pojoaque passed away Monday, October 8, 2012 at the age of 78. Moises was a long time resident of Van Nuys, CA and came home to retire in Northern New Mexico. He was born on August 31, 1934 to Feliciana and Maximiliano Salazar.\r\nHe is survived by his daughter, Margaret Rivera; grandsons: Patrick Duran and Gerald Rivera; brother, Isaudro Salazar; sisters: Lucy Roybal and husband Ben, Genivie VanPatten and husband Dale, Emerita Smith; and several nieces and nephews.\r\nMoises served his country in the U.S. Navy in the Korean War and was commissioned to the USS Cimarron.\r\nA memorial mass will be celebrated on Thursday, October 18, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Santa Fe.
