Miquela - Age 16 - Ojo Caliente - Martinez

MIQUELA FELIZ MARTINEZ, 16, a resident of Ojo Caliente, passed away on Tuesday, July 22, 2014 following a short illness. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Pete and Lupe Sena; maternal great-grandparents, Ruth and Howard McKinney and step-grandfather, Clemente Ramirez. Ms. Martinez is survived by her parents, Crystal and Michael Martinez of Ojo Caliente and Mora; sister, Aliana Martinez; fiancé, Steven Olivas; maternal grandparents, Maxine Ramirez and Theodore McKinney; paternal grandparents, Ernestine Martinez and husband Mike (Panka) and Johnny Martinez; God-parents/aunt, Frances Martinez; uncle, Marcus Maestas and wife Leah; close aunt and uncle, Nick and Bernice Sena; close cousins, Leah Sena, Jonathan Downey, Esteban Sena, Samantha and Michael Sanchez and their children; uncle and aunt, Jonathan and Kat Martinez; God-brother, Dario Martinez; maternal uncle, Atley Maestas; best friends, Alexandria Gallegos, Robert Lucero III, Brendon Gallegos, Jose Terrazar, Jr. and numerous other loving aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives and friends. Public visitation will begin on Friday, July 25, 2014 at 6:00 p.m. in the Sangre de Cristo Chapel of DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated on Saturday, July 26, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Ojo Caliente. Burial to follow at Ojo Caliente Cemetery with the following serving as pallbearers, Robert Lucero III, Brendon Gallegos, Jose Terrazas, Jr., Dario Martinez, Esteban Sena, Jonathan Martinez, Jonathan Downey, Mike Martinez (Panka). Honorary pallbearers named are, Steve Olivas, Nick Sena, Johnny Martinez, Coach Miguel Garcia, Mike Morse, John Labombard, Jr., Jessica James and Son Tyler (Doogles) Gutierrez. The family of Miquela Feliz Martinez has entrusted their loved one to DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.
