Minnie "Ha Ha" Martinez

Minnie “Ha Ha” Bird Martinez, 62, a resident of Ohkay Owingeh, passed away on Thursday, March 30, 2017. She was preceded in death by her father, John F. Bird Jr.; sister, Yvonne; brothers, Floyd, Sabie, Stanley Sr., grandmother, Josephine Cata. She loved making crafts, playing bingo, she enjoyed cooking for her family and especially the children at the Ohkay Owingeh Head Start and Community School during her tenure working there. She is survived by her companion, Jake Montoya; sons, Allen Bird (Janis), Ronald Martinez Jr. (Crystal), Cyrus Martinez (Twyla), mother, Consuelo Whitehouse, brothers, John Bird (Juanita), Joey Herrera (Carla), sisters, Deborah Herrera, Nora Bird (John), Vivian Bird, Bryanna Martinez, grandchildren, Jeffery, Joseph, Nathanial, JoJo, Lucas, Ariana, Josephine, Talia, Frances, Kimberly and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family. A rosary was held on Friday, March 31, 2017 at the family home, Mass of Christian Burial was held on Saturday, April 1, 2017 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Ohkay Owingeh. Burial took place at the Ohkay Owingeh Cemetery. Serving the family as pallbearers were, Jeffery Bird, John Michael Bird, Joseph Bird, Tyson Toya, JoJo Duran, Desmond Marcus, Stanley Bird Jr., Miguel Medina.
