Mike F. Quintana

Mike F. Quintana, 78, died Saturday, March 28, 2015, born on April 26, 1936 to Jose E. and Lugardita Quintana. Mike carried the love of many, no more than from his wife of 55 years, Joan Quintana, daughter Luanna Valerio, and sons Greg, Eric, and Robert. At the time of his death, Mike was blessed with the undying love of his devoted sister, Patsy Duran. Mike was preceded in death by his loving sister Tina Maestas, and wonderful brother Willie Quintana. Mike enjoyed endless years doing the things he loved, being a business owner, golfing, laughing with uncountable friends, watching and cheering on his favorite sports teams, but he loved nothing more in his life than watching his family grow up around him, including four children, eleven grandchildren and five great grandchildren. The eldest son Greg, has children Michael, Sean, Justin, and Dante. Louanna, Mike’s second child and only daughter, with husband Patrick Valerio, have children Daniel and wife Melissa, Anthony, and Isaac. Mike’s next son Eric and wife Celina, have children Eric Jr. and Daven. Mike’s youngest son Robert has children Elisa and Dominic “Rocco”. Mike was blessed with precious great-grandchildren, Alexis, Joshua, Alicia, Kaylee, and Adam. We would like to thank Mike’s sister Patsy and husband Leroy, and family for all they have done. Thank you Stella Quintana, wife of his departed Brother Willie, and their family. We are grateful to Sixto Maestas, husband of his departed sister Tina, and their family, with special gratitude to Tommy, who spent so much of his time providing personal care and support for Mike. Thank you so much Laura Martinez and Alex Roybal for your lifelong support of Mike and his family. Thank you Liz, Deanna, Miranda, Levi, Vicki and Sienna, for all the love you gave Mike. During Mike’s final days, he and his family received immeasurable support from friends and family, through phone calls and visits, devotion of prayers, food, and proclamations of love, all of which helped carry him out of this world, into the arms of his Lord. We thank you all. A rosary will be recited on Monday, April 6, 2015 at 7:30 p.m. at La Iglesia de Santa Cruz de la Cañada. Memorial mass will be held on Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at La Iglesia de Santa Cruz de la Cañada. The family of Mike F. Quintana has entrusted the care of their loved one to the DeVargas Funeral Home & Crematory of the Española Valley.\r\n
